Dahl was intrigued by all manner of neurological conditions, believing his creative genius followed his own head injury, and spending time supporting both adults and children’s neurology and neurosurgery services. The Walton Centre Charity supports the work of The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool, where Tom Solomon is a consultant neurologist. It is the UK’s only specialist neuroscience hospital trust dedicated to providing comprehensive neurology, neurosurgery, spinal and pain management services, treating over 100,000
patients a year with conditions including head and spinal trauma, stroke, tumours, epilepsy, and brain infections.
